Time: 8:00 - 8:30 Registration,  Seminar 8:30 - 12 noon

Location:  Norwalk Inn and Conference Center, 99 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT

Cost:  $55 for registration on or before Friday, October 17.  Late registration and walk-ins $60. (Cash or check only)

Light breakfast will be provided.

This program has been approved for 3 Continuing Education Credit Hours by the Connectiuct Association for Marriage and Family Therapists and meets the continuing education criteria for CT MFT Licensure renewal.

This program has been approved for  3 Continuing Education Credit Hours by the National Association of Social Workers, CT and meets the continuing education criteria for CT Social Work Licensure renewal.

Participants will

·         Learn the 5 stages of grief and how they impact the divorce process

·         Examine the role of the therapist in each stage of the process

·         Review the different methods of divorcing

·         Understand how the method selected will impact the client

·         Discuss the impact of divorce on children at different developmental stages

·         Learn ways to advise parents as they try to minimize the impact of divorce on their children
