What are the benefits of co-mediation?

There are many advantages of using a co-mediation model. Firstly, the clients have the advantage of two different skill sets that complement each other. The mediators can provide different perspectives to the clients and divide tasks appropriately. In co-mediation, the mediators can model cooperative problem solving behavior and good communication skills. Additionally, having two professional mediators working with you provides a check on mediator biases.
The co-mediation model is used by the court systems to resolve the most difficult family cases and is recognized as the most effective in dealing with complex family issues. Co-mediation helps clients resolve issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.
